First Look at Brexit: The Uncivil War from HBO, Watch Trailer

LAS VEGAS, NV — (12-15-18) — HBO brings you its first look at Brexit: The Uncivil War TV movie directed by Toby Haynes and starring Benedict Cumberbatch. With the uncertainty of the United Kingdom in doubt, HBO original films brings the story behind the controversial 2016 referendum to remove the United Kingdom from the European Union.

The Brexit: The Uncivil War trailer couldn’t have dropped at any better time as it is released at the end of a tumultuous week in British politics. The nabbing of a parliamentary mace and embattled Prime Minister Theresa May surviving a confidence vote.

Brexit: The Uncivil War film was commissioned in May 2018 by Channel 4 Television Corporation. They quickly moved to cast Benedict Cumberbatch to play the lead character of Dominic Cummings. Filming commenced in June with the supporting cast members of Lee Boardman, Jay Simpson, Rory Kinnear and John Heffernan

Channel 4 has announced the premier date in the United Kingdom for January 7, 2019. HBO has scheduled Brexit: The Uncivil War to premier on its network starting January 19, 2019.
