PHOENIX, AZ — (11-15-18) — Arizona Senator-Elect Kyrsten Sinema, captures major attention nationwide as she was the first openly bisexual candidate to be elected to the U.S. Senate.
Known as someone who stands for LGBTQ rights, Sinema’s sexual orientation was barely an issue during her hard-fought campaign against Republican Martha McSally.
Times are changing as Sinema’s sexual orientation was not used as an attack on her candicacy. In fact her sexual orientation wasn’t even brought up in attack ads by super pacs.
Sinema’s main goals are to support federal policies that protect LGBTQ community against discrimination in employment and housing.
Follow Senator Kyrsten Sinema on Twitter to congratulate her on making history not only for the United States but for the LGBTQ community.
