AVN Media Network Announce Return of GayVN Awards

Leading adult trade publication for more than 30 years, AVN Media Network, has confirmed the return of the GayVN Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in the gay retail DVD and online marketplace.

Set to take place in January as part of ‘GayVN@Internext‘, the 2018 GayVN Awards will honor releases from the eligibility period in a number of categories. Also, for the first time in GayVN Award history, there will be categories voted on by fans.

“We’re very excited to bring back the GayVN Awards,” said CEO of AVN Media Network, Tony Rios. “We wanted to bring them back in a big way. Getting not only the Gay adult film industry but also the gay adult film fans and gay adult film performers to make the GayVN Awards a must-attend event.” said Rios.

Much like its counterpart, the AVN Awards, the GayVN Awards will recognize performers, scenes and movies from the previous year. Content released between Oct. 1, 2016, and Sept. 30, 2017, will be eligible for consideration.

In past years, the GayVN Awards have drawn the biggest names in the industry, as well as top-notch celebrities, including Alec Mapa, Bruce Vilanch and Kathy Griffin.
