MORGANTOWN, WV — A former manager of a popular adult store was sentenced last week after a 2 year Mon Metro Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Three Rivers Drug Task Force investigation.
61-year-old Randolph Kocan pleaded guilty back in July to conspiracy to distribute synthetic drugs and money laundering and last week received a sentence of seven years and three months in federal prison for selling synthetic drugs.
U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II told the press “Randolph Kocan, manager of Mid Nite Adult located at 243 Walnut St, sold synthetic marijuana from the store for nearly two years.” said Ihlenfeld II.
Kocan’s brother and owner of the Mid Nite Adult Store, Daniel Kocan, has pleaded guilty but has yet to be sentenced.
“Synthetic cannabinoids are said to be designer drugs that resemble a controlled substance in molecular structure and actual or intended physiological effect.”
