CHATTANOOGA, TN – An explosion rock of the block of Rossville Blvd when an adult theater experienced “significant smoke and water damage” after Monday evening inferno engulfed the adult entertainment building, according the Chattanooga Fire Department.

fghghgfhdfhFirefighters quickly responded to the fire at the popular Gay hangout “Cinema One Theater and Adult Book Store” located at 4100 Rossville Boulevard, shortly after 6 p.m., said Chattanooga Fire Department spokesman Bruce Garner.

The established was open and occupied with customers and employees when the explosion went off frightening everyone inside.  Luckily everone was evacuated and no injuries were reported, said Garner.

On scene was Battalion Chief Rick Boatwright who told the media that customers reported hearing “a loud boom” accompanied by the smell of smoke.

A total of Eight fire companies responded to the blaze which was first anticipated to a 4 alarm fire but they were able to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes from the time it was reported, said Boatwright.

Police were forced to reroute Rossville Boulevard traffic during the blaze opening the road when a majority of the firefighting vehicles departed after 7:10 p.m.

Estimates for the damage have not yet been determined nor the cause of the explosion however arson investigators are on scene to determine what happened.
